How to wash fabrics

Learning how to wash fabrics is like learning to wash clothes. All the same rules apply!

Use the techniques above to prepare the fabric and make sure to divide the fabric into two piles (light and dark).

Place the fabric in the machine. Since this is a brand-new fabric, you can skip adding detergent as needed. The reason for washing fabrics is mainly preparation rather than cleaning fabrics.

If you are washing fabrics or old-fashioned fabrics placed in a closet, you may need to use some soap to remove dust or musty smell. Just do a sniffer test!

Follow the manufacturer's guidelines and wash the fabric in a similar manner.

If you plan to dry the fabric, please dry it like the final product. This is especially true if you want to make clothes! You don't want to do something like a glove, you only need to wash it once, and it's uncomfortably small.
